You literally shape your reality through the story you tell yourself.
So, no matter how hard your life gets, never tell yourself the story that you are unlucky, that you are inadequate, or that you are not going to get what you want.
Instead, remind yourself that hardship makes for a better story. You get to overcome that hardship and experience the joy, that sublime joy, that comes afterward.
Feel excitement for every challenge you are given the opportunity to overcome. Be grateful for every difficulty in life.
Tell yourself the story that your life is difficult because you are going to become stronger, wiser, and more capable through it, on the other side of it.
When you stay calm and solve your problems, as opposed succumbing to them, you don’t just get to feel pride and joy. You gain wisdom. And when you exercise that wisdom in life, when you share it with others by telling the story of your own life, people want to listen.
You become a valuable person, and that value can make you rich too!
You see how you can tell yourself a negative story about the exact same circumstances, or you can tell yourself a positive one. Your positive story may be different from how I have worded it, but there is always a positive story you can tell yourself.
Never fail yourself, and those who depend on you, by telling yourself the negative story.
