Imagine a manager asking an employee to pay out of pocket for a window seat on a flight to a company-sponsored event
The company is already paying for the flight, but the employee wants to choose a window seat, which costs extra, and asks to have that expense reimbursed as well
The manager refuses and even tells the employee they are exhibiting a poverty mindset. Ironically, it is the manager who is displaying a petty mindset
When you have the power to make someone’s experience a little better at no personal or even meaningful cost and choose not to, it reveals far more about your character than theirs
